Budget Outfit: Brighter Than the Sun (Yellow Gown from Florence Fling)

I love attending weddings. I love seeing couples on their special day, all dressed up and with that genuine happiness that makes them glow when you look at them. And the fact that it also serves as get together for friends and acquaintances that I have not seen in a long time makes it more exciting. The bride walking down the aisle, the waiting groom at the altar, the entourage, the songs that will be played and other things that I always look forward too. And just last January, I was again given the chance to witness another one: the wedding of my dear friend Beverly and her now husband Glen.

It was a sunny afternoon in Manila Cathedral, perfect for the occasion and for the gown that I bought from Florence Fling. I got this lovely piece from their shop in Megamall and I could never been more happy that I bought them on a 70% discount! I love the color (yes, I never was afraid to wear bright yellow even if I have dark complexion) and the flow, which made me feel happy and pretty the entire time. I decided to make the entire ensemble yellow with blue highlights by matching the gown with this purse from Nine West and the pumps from Payless Shoe Source (read this post to see the shoes). For accessories, I just went with white pieces such as the cuff bracelet and flower earrings that I already wore here.

The church wedding and the reception went by smoothly and seeing my friend Bev with so much joy, looking very beautiful that day made me feel happy to be there to witness all of it. Being able to spend the day with our close friends made it more special. I miss them already!

To Bev and Glen, thank you for making me part of this special event of your lives. It was an honor to witness your union in front of God. I hope and pray that your life as husband and wife will be a happy and exciting one. Continue to love each other and good luck on your new endeavor. Congratulations!
